Event contracts built right into the Robinhood app, offered through a CFTC-registered brokerage and exchange partners. The easiest on-ramp if you already invest — huge scale, familiar interface.
Robinhood is the friendliest way into prediction markets for anyone who already has the app. Its event contracts run through Robinhood Derivatives, a CFTC-registered brokerage, using exchange partners (Kalshi and, since mid-2026, its own Rothera exchange). If you want to dip a toe without opening a new account or touching crypto, this is the gentlest start.
Beginners and existing Robinhood investors who value convenience over the widest market selection.
You trade with settled brokerage cash — there are no instant deposits for event contracts. The commission is probability-weighted (it varies with the contract’s price), with a discount for Robinhood Gold members, plus small per-contract exchange fees. It’s competitive but less transparent than a single flat rate.
Event contracts aren’t available everywhere — Maryland prohibits them and Nevada restricts new sports contracts — and Robinhood, like its peers, is caught in the state-versus-CFTC legal fight. Check our legality tracker for your state.
